“Saint Muirgen”
A print from the original painting by Marcy Hall.
Known as the mermaid saint.
Each vivid print is on acid free, archival quality matte photo paper and measures 5"x10" and is mounted on a 11"x14" matte. The print is hand-signed and titled on the matte.
Her story goes that she survived a flood with her dog by transforming into a mermaid and an otter, living under the lake for over 300 years until she was fished out by a group of monks. She chose to be baptized and was given the baptismal name Muirgen, 'born of the sea', after which she lost her immortality and gained a Christian soul. She was given the choice to live another 300 years on earth after which she would have happiness, and she chose to die within the hour.
The Dancing Monk series is a collaboration between Pennsylvania painter Marcy Hall of Rabbit Room Arts, and author Christine Valters Paintner of Abbey of the Arts, a virtual monastery based in Ireland.

I absolutely love the print I ordered! I bought a gorgeous rendering of St. Muirgen of Lough Neagh and the print was even more beautiful in person. I bought it as a gift for my partner and she loved it. Thank you!
