Hildegard was a German Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic, visionary, and polymath. She is considered to be the founder of scientific natural history in Germany.
Each vivid print is on acid free, archival quality matte photo paper and measures 5"x10" and is mounted on a 11"x14" matte. The print is signed and titled on the matte.
This print is part of the Monastic Way series, in partnership with the Benedictine nun Joan Chittester and the Benedictine Sisters of Erie, Pennsylvania.

I’ve looked at these icons for a while. When I needed a gift for a friend who is assuming a position of authority that has previously only been held by men, I knew she needed this reminder of Hildegard’s tenacity and commitment to God. It’s absolutely lovely and I can’t wait to gift it!
